I have worked as a psychologist since
1987. My work primarily has focused on children, adolescents, and their
families but I also work with adults who are experiencing distress or conflict
in their lives. I work with clients in areas such as work conflict, family
of origin issues, sexual abuse and victimization, anxiety, depression,
relationship difficulties, end of life issues, self-esteem, divorce, parenting,
ADD and ADHD, adoption issues, and others. I see psychotherapy as working
collaboratively to support, guide, and educate clients to achieve greater
comfort in their lives and to reach their goals.
In my practice, I work with various
school districts conducting educational and psychological testing, in English
and Spanish, to diagnose special education needs of students and I participate
in ARDs and in programming for students to develop their full potential
in the schools.
I also work in the area of forensic
psychology in which I consult with lawyers and Judges. This also involves
working in the Court system with families and individual who are involved
in litigation, such as custody, visitation, and criminal matters, and I
conduct psychological testing and assessments for lawyers and for the Court.
I am a member of Medical Center
Psychological Services which is a community of independent mental health
